Gelato: I'm pretty sure Tall was insisting that Surface send us product to review...and, I accept.

I've had no issues with my Live Lifes. They feel very well-constructed and are super fun. This is my personal experience. I'm sure they'd get top marks in any review.

@obnoxiouslytall: I doubt Surface would object to a product review . . . in fact, they could hardly stop anyone who wanted to do one.

As a company, I like Surface and its "brand image." I also think its interesting how they are improvising on the modern design of twin-tip skis (i.e. 3 stage rocker). But, unfortunately, when I spoke with "some" riders recently about Surface, I heard mixed reviews. Some people, like me, appreciated them as a company but had no experience with their boards. The people, with whom I spoke, who claimed to have experience with their boards did not have a good experience due to issues with its construction that led to premature destruction. Basically, they said that the skis fell the fuck apart.

I'm just repeating what I heard which, I'm aware, is somewhat of a dangerous or reckless thing to do; but the point of bringing this up is to request a Brobomb-approved gear review of Surface skis --- specifically the live life skis, if possible.

What do you say, Surface? Wanna put the rumors to rest?
