Anthony Boronowski Edit

Pretty pumped on this edit by our friend at Right as Rain Films and Nimbus Independent. It’s so good to see some rail shots out of Ant again.

wow that urban stuff was sick too.
Tony doesn’t get nearly the credit he deserves

    thuggin’ …

So good, only thing that sucks is there was no urban in the En Route webisode. Some of the clips are from it, but this edit is better then the webisode.

Amazing edit and skiing, best Ant since X.

  4. Bret Donnelly says:

    f’kyeah!

  5. scooter says:

This 3 minute edit is better than the 40 minute webisode?!?

The first 20 minutes of the webisode are epic – an extended and BETTER version of what is contained in this edit. The same feel to the skiing, with better editing, presentation and texture. Plus an allstar thug cast.

    Don’t be silly.

  6. scooter says:

But just so we don’t get it twisted.

This edit is sick on its own.

In comparison, it is a fair, but narrow, representation of what one could expect if one were to purchase the enroute departure webisode.

  7. Nick@RAR says:

thanks boys. we had some more clips of urban that didn’t make the cut with all the stepdown madness. i’ll probably release them in a week or so.

sw 5 and cork 7 both ways into pow.
    so good.

    So sick Tony.

Scooter, maybe I should have not phrased it as “This Edit is better then the Webisode” but stated I enjoyed this edit more then the webisode. Yeah a 3 minute video doesn’t contain as much “epic” skiing in it, but it still doesn’t mean it couldn’t be better in some ones eyes in terms of total package. And let’s not mislead people, the feel of Ant’s edit isn’t even close to Departure. Pollard edited Departure in his same old Nimbusy style and I believe Right As Rain edited Ant’s edit. So everyone, if you watched Ant’s edit, realize you will not get a fast paced movie, with current music, banger shot after banger shot, an original feel or urban shots in Departure like you did in the edit.

I concede to your point that “a 3 minute video” could be better in some one’s eyes in terms of total package.

There are a ton of 3 minute pop songs that I enjoy more than some 45 minute albums, if that is a viable comparison.

I think Departure, within its skiing segments, made a distinct progression from the “same old Nimbusy” style. And if you have any sorenesss over the use of velvet underground, the clash and/or the stooges in a skiing edit or in general, than you should excuse your taste or lack thereof.

It is a broad step forward to include music in ski films that actually has substance or use outside of an action sports edit.

Maybe some of the downtime footage was a little self-indulgent but it serves its purpose of keeping the viewer from desensitizing and sure beats skiers talking about skiing in a white room.

So “everyone”, if you watched Ant’s edit realize that what you saw is only one of the many flavors you can come to expect if you were to purchase Departure, similar, if only in quality.

    Bangers included. Sorry, no urbans.

  12. scooter says:

But we diverged a bit from the topic by bringing up this “webisode” thing.

Right as Rain did a kick ass job. The film has a really warm and also bright feel. And, in the end, it leaves you jonesing for so much more.

Ant rules and its so good to see him going after it.

  13. barberdude says:

Trust me I have no problem with Departure’s soundtrack. Nimbus has been using amazing music since Hunting Yeti.

  14. Dunfee says:

hell yeah Tony stackin’ footy again!

  15. Dunfee says:

also big props to RAR for the use of ramped slow-mo, which ski filmers avoid like the plague for some unknown reason. and audio on rail shots.

  16. Josh says:

    I’m loving it!
