It’s funny cause it’s true.

We snowboard-types get to enjoy Torstein’s wit and flips all the time, but finally, he’s giving back to the ski community with this latest installment of “in Your Face” with Jossi Wells. If you’re offended by snowboarders acting stupid about ski terminology, don’t watch it. Other wise, enjoy. My favorite part was when Torstein called it “french frying.” Brilliant. One of my favorite ski journalists, Ryan Dunfee, has put himself in the running for that is being hailed as “the best job ever.” Through my skimming of the contest rules, I’ve determined it is actually an internship with a travel budget for the Association of Freeskiing Professionals, which sounds SUPER OFFICIAL. But I know Dunfee must want it, because he obviously put a lot of effort into this video, which after you watch, we’re sure you’ll click on over and vote for him FTW!

^^Dunf’s dream come true.
Much of my day is devoted to “beating” the other sites. But now, Dunfee sends me some fucking ski edit when I’m making perogies and is all, who can post it first, me or Jon. Now obviously, I am going to win, because even if I watched this I wouldn’t know what to say about it, so I’m not gonna bother. But yeah, I guess this must be good. And I win. Everyone’s favorite invalid Ryan Dunfee apparently scored himself some screen time in the classic straight-to-video movie “Cougar Hunting” during his stint as an Aspen ski bum. Since Jon will probably be upset I posted this, I’m offering a FREE YOBEAT BEANIE to the first person to spot and identify the time which Dunfee flashes across your screen in this amazing trailer! Make sure to use your real email so I can contact you when you win. Continue reading this entry »
The boys here at BroBOMB have really been milking the SIA coverage. I get it, it’s a big deal and you worked super, extra hard, but come on dudes, it’s snowing in the real world. (And by Real World, I am talking about DC, even though on the show it’s magically summer and not the midst of the storm of the century. There is also some bitch who is complaining that she needs to go home cause she can’t last 6 WEEKS without her boyfriend, or something. Anyway, I feel like I may be getting off track.)
I ventured over to this WordPress back end as opposed to my own, because while my hate mongering towards skiers is mostly for show, I felt the video submission YoBeat received recently and the attached story may better be suited for the BroBOMB readership. Allow me to introduce Jeremiah Paquette, aka Jermagain.
Hopefully you enjoyed that little vid, as Jeremiah made it to prove a point: Snowboarding is easy, but skiing is easier. Apparently this was his first day shredding on two planks this season. But don’t worry, that’s not the good part of the story, or the reason I posted it. No, the real reason Jeremiah made this video is out of pure spite! You see, as Jermagain, he is a frequent commenter on REELcomp, a sort of extreme Youtube where kids post their videos and make fun of each other. Apparently, the kids trying to show off their skills don’t appreciate Jermagain’s subtle brand of hate-filled humor though, and he recently received this letter:
First off, I should note I do not have permission to be doing this. My new friends at BroBomb gave me an admin account because they do not know how to use computers and needed some stuff fixed on this site. They did not say, Brooke, you should feel free to go in and post things whenever you want. But I do what I want. And I want to post the Voleurz movie Outdoor Graduation somewhere, but not on my site. You see, yesterday, not one, but two of the staff members of BroBomb informed me how amazing this video is. I finally watched it this morning at 6 am because when you get old you randomly wake up at 6 am. In the intro alone there were heelies, razor scooters, and skis. The latter is why I can’t post it on my own site, but I sure as hell can post it here! Enjoy. It’s neat.
