The best of Kohmposition 2012. Portlandia native and still-high schooler Jeffrey Kohnstamm has been sending us a heap of edits this past season, mostly pon di Mt. Hood. Jeffy K’s family’s pretty deep in Timberline history, and he’s been making an effort to do weird film shit and yes, mention the word “creativity” in the context of professional goals. Kohnstamm speaks a big game, hating on glidecams and calling E Heath played. Well, not actually, but our analytics tell us that controversy gets us a lot of traffic from Newschoolers, whether it’s real or imagined. Jeff just put together some of his fave cuts for us from the last 34 consecutive months he’s been skiing Mt. Hood (bastard!).
How did you get your start filming?
I used to be into taking photos and I was gifted an SLR that also recorded video, like 3 years ago I think. I feel like it all started there. I was never super into it until about a year ago, though.
